The Region of Durham is undertaking an Environmental Assessment along Stevenson Road (Regional Road 53) from 300m south of Gibb Street (Regional Road 59) to Rossland Road (Regional Road 28). The reconstruction and potential widening of Stevenson Road is being undertaken to address growing traffic volume and improve safety by providing a continuous left-turn lane. The current Transportation Master Plan also recommends that improvements should be made to the pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.
